She was recently awarded a plaque from the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for her work as chair of the Debra Blum Mental Health Committee. Judge Veal’s career experience has provided her with a unique perspective which she brings to the bench. Judge Veal is married to Lindsey Veal, Jr and they share two daughters and two shih tzus.
